I trade longer term mechanical trading systems exclusively on the ASX. I rarely look at daily charts and the systems are built using weekly timeframes.
The information in this site is based on actual trades in real portfolios. I don't trade using margin or any sort of leverage. I mainly use Amibroker for system testing and trade monitoring.
I am not selling anything. This is just a journal to record where I have been and, just maybe, where I am going.

They are not all winners.
Sun was a long relatively fruitless trade, the only bonus being some dividends.
Hi Stevo. I am building a long term system for my super. I have read most of your posts at Aussie Stock Forum, Incredible charts and on this Blog. You mention a market switch that you use to exit when the long term trend is down. Is that the 42 week ROC below -23 that you mention? Would you mind giving me some suggestions in this area. Im currently trying an exit below the 30 week ema. Thanks Stevo Great Blog
You can use a variety of methods. The only limit is your imagination! MA, EMA, Bollinger, ROC, RSI, Stochastics, HHV, close > last periods's close.......
I think its good if people find their own approach.
